My name is Casey O'Neill and I grew up in Garfield, New Jersey, immersed in theater and dance since I could remember. I studied in the Theater department at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack New Jersey before attending Mason Gross School of the Arts for Dance, year of 2014. In my high school theater program, I participated in the musicals Urinetown, The Secret Garden, Into the Woods, and Children of Eden. Some straight plays that I participated in were Romeo and Juliet (all female cast), Stage Door, Cinderella Wore Combat Boots, and 'Dentity Crisis. I love bringing theater to dance and vice versa, especially in my choreography.

 

Since attending Mason Gross, I have choreographed and performed two solos and two group pieces. In the spring of 2013, I presented my group piece "Tic" at ACDFA's informal showing. I also shared my senior group piece "Push to Open" at the College Partnership Program (CPP) In Progress Showing at Mark Morris Dance Center in Februrary, 2014.

 

I am intereted in yoga, massage, voice, film,  music, photography, videography, and drawing, which all influence eachother in my work.
